anyone knows the cost for a magnetic resonance test?
i got a knee problem and i was wondering if anyone here knows what the cost is?
It’s expensive. The cost can range from $750-$2000+. The usual cost seems to be $1000-$1500.
If you have insurance, the test may be covered, but make sure that you check first and get the proper referrals. Many insurance companies require a predetermination, which the doctor should take care of for you.
If you don’t have insurance, there is often a discount available. They may be able to set up payment plans as well. Many hospitals also have funds available if you are low-income.
One question to ask yourself (and your doctor) if you don’t have insurance… Is it worth it to get the test, if you won’t be able to do anything about the results?
